Chicagoland School Fun Days at Sonny Acres Farm
Sonny Acres Farm is the perfect place for School Fun Days in Chicagoland. Reservations will resume in August 2026.
School tours will run from September 22 through October 30.Tours are available Tuesday through Friday only.We are closed on Mondays, including Columbus Day, Monday, October 12.
- Schools MUST be licensed and registered with the State of Illinois for school pricing. If your group is not, please see regular pricing. Documentation is required (Tax Exempt Certification or Illinois School License).
- Free admission for teachers and staff.
- Chaperones are $5.00 per person in the Fall (September-October) & includes a hayride ticket. Maximum number of Chaperones is 25. If there are more than 25, each additional Chaperone can attend the farm and purchase their own $6 hayride ticket at the ticket booth on property.
- Minimum of 10 students required.
- Packages available based on age range – School Fun Days is only for children ages 3 through grade 5.

- All School Fun Days times are scheduled between 10:00AM to 2:00PM, Tuesday through Friday only.
- There is NO availability for School Fun Days on Columbus Day or Saturdays and Sundays.
- We are a farm, if it is raining, or if your school day is cancelled, please call ahead to reschedule. We cannot run amusements, attractions, and wagons in unfavorable weather and we do not have an inside facility for activities.
- Optional – Add a hotdog, apple and juice box to any package for $5.50
- Packed lunches are allowed. We will provide a place to store all lunches.
Fall School & Group Fun Days #1
Package #1 (Age 3 to 1st grade)$8.00 per student ($16.00 Value)Includes:
- Ideal for smaller children under 36”
- Rides include: Kiddie Korral, Jumping Pillow, Sonny Express Train Rides, & Day Hayride around the property!
- Each student will receive a coloring sheet with crayons,1 mini pumpkin gourd, and 1 cup of animal feed
- 1 large pumpkin per classroom
- Free ride ticket on a return visit for each child
Fall School & Group Fun Days #2
Package #2 (2nd to 5th grade)
$12.00 per student ($27.00 value)
Includes:
- Amusements as follows require 36” height requirement: Wacky Worm, Bees, Apple Worm, Giant Slide, Tilt A Whirl
- Other rides include: Kiddie Korral, Jumping Pillow, Sonny Express Train Rides & a Day Hayride around the property!
- Each student will receive a coloring sheet with crayons,1 mini pumpkin gourd, and 1 cup of animal feed
- 1 large pumpkin per classroom
- Free ride ticket on a return visit for each child
