Aside from seeing all the beautiful smiling faces as they make their way through our pumpkin patch and enjoy the festival, our favorite pastime is listening to the feedback of our attendees. We have been coming to Sonny Acres Farm’s Fall Festival for years—ever since I was a little girl. My kids wanted to visit a Pumpkin Patch, and Sonny Acres Farm happened to be the closest one from Glen Ellyn, and it just so happens that this particular fall festival caters to all their needs.
They road all the rides and enjoyed the hayride just before picking up our pumpkins to head out. It really is a one-stop-shop for everything. For me, it was a trip down memory lane. I started coming as a little girl, but nothing has changed, and that’s a good thing! I mean, obviously, the facilities are nicer now. The grounds have been upgraded, but it’s the same experience. Just like I remember. It definitely feels nostalgic, which makes looking back easier, and the kids are having just as much fun as I did. That’s what matters.
I love fall. It’s my favorite season. I want to instill that same feeling, that same love for fall in my kids. We love carving pumpkins, and apple cider donuts are a staple. It’s my favorite season, so I want them to feel the same way that I do.
