Sonny Acres Farm Established in 1883

In 1883, a first-generation family of German immigrants planted the roots of what would become Sonny Acres Farm.
What began as a small roadside produce stand slowly grew into something much more than a farm. Over time, it became a place where families could step away from the noise of everyday life and spend time together in the open air.
For more than a century, the Nagel family cared for this land and nurtured the farm into a place filled with imagination, laughter, and traditions that would be passed from one generation to the next.
Children who once visited Sonny Acres holding their parents’ hands would one day return with families of their own.
They came for the pumpkins, They stayed for the memories.
WELCOME TO MY GARDEN
Sonny Acres has always remained a true working farm, growing thousands of pumpkins each year and welcoming visitors to experience a little piece of farm life. But over time it also became something more, a place where the simple joys of childhood could still be found.
The sounds of carnival rides spinning with excitement.
The smell of fresh food drifting across the farm.
The thrill of stepping into the Haunted Barn on a crisp autumn evening.
The laughter of families sharing a day together outdoors.
In 2019, a new chapter in the Sonny Acres story began.
After spending more than fifty years visiting the farm themselves, first as children and later with their own families, the Fontana and Joyaux families became the new stewards of Sonny Acres.
Like so many others in the community, Sonny Acres had been part of their lives for decades.
Today, they carry forward the responsibility of caring for a place that means so much to so many families.
Their goal is simple: to protect the traditions that have made Sonny Acres special while thoughtfully growing the experience for the generations still to come.
Over the years the farm has continued to evolve with expanded attractions, improved facilities, fresh food offerings, a farm market, seasonal celebrations, and new experiences throughout the year.
But the spirit of Sonny Acres remains exactly as it has always been.
A place where kids can run a little farther.
Where parents can slow down for a while.
Where families can make memories that will last long after the day is over.

Our Farm Continues to Grow
Today, Sonny Acres continues to grow while staying true to the traditions that have made it special for generations.
Visitors can explore our Fresh Farm Market, stocked with our Sonny Honey, seasonal produce, locally made favorites, its filled with décor and gifts that bring a little farm charm into your home.
Families can gather at Our Kitchen, our outdoor grill where friends and neighbors can sit, relax, and enjoy great food together in a true farm setting. And for those with a sweet tooth, our Sweet Shop has something special waiting, offering homemade favorites and seasonal treats that make any visit to the farm a little sweeter..
Throughout the year, Sonny Acres comes alive with seasonal experiences — from our Fall Festival, to the thrills of the Haunted Barn and Haunted Hallows Hayride, and the magic of the holidays with Santa’s Workshop, our incredible holiday lights and festive winter celebrations.
And the story continues to unfold.
Plans are also underway for The Barn on North, an incredible wedding and event venue overlooking the beautiful grounds of Sonny Acres Farm. Designed to host unforgettable celebrations in a timeless farm setting, The Barn on North will create new opportunities for families and friends to gather, celebrate, and make lasting memories together. Future plans may also include concerts and special community events that continue to bring people together in meaningful ways.
But no matter how Sonny Acres evolves, one thing will always remain the same — the joy of sharing this special place with families like yours.
